As much joy as it would bring me to be the first to give Dr. Neal less than a 5-star review (just to mess with him), it would simply be dishonest for me to do so.
When I met Dr. Neal at a boxing gym, I had given up running for approximately four years due to intense knee pain I would experience every time I ran so much as a quarter mile. For context, I was a track and field athlete and deeply missed the sport, but despite the efforts I had taken to rehabilitate and strengthen my legs, I could not make any progress. Dr. Neal assured me he had seen many patients with similar conditions and had the right treatment for me.
I took a chance and visited his clinic, where we thoroughly went through all of my previous musculoskeletal pain, and he explained how shockwave therapy could help me. As an aerospace engineer, I tend to be skeptical of handwave-y, pseudoscientific, buzzword-fueled products. When I asked for further explanation, Dr. Neal graciously and thoroughly explained the acoustic physics of the machine as well as the physiological response of the body to the treatment. He also encouraged me to do more research on the practice for additional information, and it was that interaction that first highlighted his professionalism and gained him my trust.
Within the first few visits, I noticed a difference in my knee pain, and now, with four months of treatment, I'm happy to say I can run miles without an ounce of pain. My fitness, boxing, and running goals seem so much more achievable now with my healthier legs. I really do credit all of my progress to Dr. Neal's treatment, his exercises, and his support as I get back into my best shape.
Furthermore, as if it weren't enough to just have a reliable, competent chiropractor, Dr. Neal is a pleasure to visit every time. It's clear in his communication skills and his attention to detail how much he cares about his patients. He also has a warm, outgoing presence that is contagious, and I genuinely look forward to chatting with him every time I see him. Plus, his music taste is immaculate, and he can go on and on about food. Ask him about his golf skills too (he needs a coach).
